Saturday Chain Gang
An hour of hard training on a road circuit (loop). The ride is typically split into two groups: the ‘foxes’ is a slower group (pace: tempo) starts first with the ‘hounds’ the faster group (pace: race) chasing down the foxes. Each group works together in a pace line or chain gang formation. The session requires good levels of fitness, bike handing and group riding skills but there is little to match it for fun and improved fitness. Don’t worry if you drop off the pace, the next group will be round again in a few minutes.
